Carlos Sainz, da Ferrari, liderou o segundo treino do GP do México com 1:17.699s, em sessão dedicada aos testes de pneus Pirelli para 2025. Oscar Piastri foi o segundo, seguido por Yuki Tsunoda. Um acidente de Russell causou bandeira vermelha e encurtou o treino de 90 para praticamente 60 minutos, afetando os testes planejados. Apesar disso, boa parte dos pilotos atingiu o objetivo de 34 voltas completadas.
